Terrestrial Navigation

With the Grace of God Almighty, we express our gratitude for the completion of creating the textbook of Terrestrial Navigation for training students of Diploma IV (DOC-III).

This material is prepared to refer competencies as required in the Standard Training Certification of Watchkeeping for Seaferers (STCW 1978) amended 2010 Regulation II/1.2, II/2, II/3 with the guideline of IMO Model Course 7.03 (Officer in Charge of a Navigational Watch).

It is expected that this textbook will help the students to understand the knowledge and skills in determining position by using various existing methods and using navigational aids and tools properly and correctly and notice some safety aspects.
